BLUE. When the bruises fade.

Through black-and-white images, bruises and traces of pain are presented without spectacle. Rather than functioning as evidence, they appear as quiet surfaces that ask for attention. The work focuses on the moment after the visible marks disappear, when trauma becomes harder to locate and easier to overlook.

The images create a pause in which the viewer is invited to remain with what is unresolved.

Stillness is central to the work. I use analog silver gelatin photography, developed slowly in the darkroom, where time and care are integral to the process. Alongside the photographs, film extends the experience of looking, encouraging sustained attention rather than avoidance.

BLUE operates between personal experience and shared reality. It does not aim to explain or resolve trauma, but to make its presence perceptible.

How can images hold vulnerability without judgement? Attention itself can become a form of acknowledgment.
